So, you have downloaded something on your phone say movie or video. And when you open the VLC Media player application on your phone it is not showing you the new file (Video). So, you are at the right place to fix it, not exactly fix but kind of that.

So, the above-described issue can be solved by reopening the VLC player on the phone. What you have to do is just, open the VLC Media player first and when you see the loading icons rotating, minimize the player by tapping the home button and then again open the VLC player. Keep in mind that doesn’t remove the application from the recent apps menu.
